Technology has the power to enhance our lives; keeping us in touch, entertained, and in control of our environment. In business we use technology as a tool for productivity. Because technology advances so rapidly, it’s often hard to tell what systems or components would be the most beneficial. I have worked in the electronics industry for 6 years, directly helping people integrate technology into their homes and businesses. Audio/Video, Lighting Control, Temperature Control, and Automation Systems – there are a lot of variables to consider for technology systems, and there is always the concern that vendors will take advantage of your lack of knowledge on the subject. At ASC, I work directly as the client’s representative, drawing on my experience in the field to ensure the project is done correctly, on budget and on time.

Andrew Southern Bio

Andrew Southern is a CTS (Certified Technology Specialist – InfoComm) accredited technology consultant. He began his career as a professional touring musician (electric bass), then became a sought after live sound engineer in New York City. Andrew joined the technology integration firm CytexOne in 2004 as Director Of Automation Systems. He designed large systems for high-end residential and commercial environments. As the technology became more advanced, the need for an independent ‘architect for technology’ became apparent. Andrew Southern Consulting (ASC) was created to provide clients impartial audiovisual design and management services for their projects. ASC serves clients in the US, UK and Caribbean. Andrew lives with his wife, son, and baby daughter in New York City.
